Hotel Villas Gaia is situated where the mountains come down to the sea in the region called Fila Costeña. This biologically diverse region is surrounded by some of Costa Rica's most famous natural attractions: The vast wilderness of Corcovado National Park; the protected waters of Ballena Marine Park; Caño Island, and the Rio Sierpe - Terraba extensive mangrove ecosystem.

Hotel Villas Gaia offers a home base to experience the wild beauty of Costa Rica’s south-west Pacific coast, one of the most biologically diverse regions on earth.

The region is a bird watcher's paradise (450 counted species!!!) and has one of Central America's last stands of magnificent coastal rain forest. Miles of deserted beaches to the north offer abundant opportunities for swimming, surfing, kayaking and exploring.

Enjoy the hilltop swimming pool with sundeck and pool side ranch bar where you can witness spectacular ocean sunsets over Playa Tortuga, a majestic beach accessible via a private jungle trail leading from the sundeck to the beach of Tortuga.

Hotel Villas Gaia consists of 14 colorful bungalows (casitas) separately nestled in a lush tropical garden, designed to harmonize with their forest surroundings and accented with the vibrant colors of the tropics, offering privacy and comfort.

Each bright, spacious casita has orthopedic beds (one double - queen size - bed and one single bed or three single beds), reading lamps, night tables, ceiling fans, built-in closet, safe deposit (25x35x25 cm), bathroom with -solar hot water- shower, and a private terrace (8 by 20 ft) with comfortable “perezosos”(lazy chairs), a table with bench and a great jungle view. Each casita can accommodate up to 4 persons. Most of the casitas have air conditioning (split level system) as well as ceiling fans.

The full service restaurant features an eclectic decor under a high vaulted roof. Privacy and tropical ambiance are created by colorful landscaping and tasteful music.

The gourmet restaurant specializes in healthy European cuisine with a Latin American flavor and offers a moderately prized menu of quality vegetarian and non-vegetarian food (Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. With coffee/tea ready for early birders at 6 AM! A children’s menu (half plates – half price) and box lunch menu. Freshly made tropical juices and cocktails.
