Searching for the Manatee Tour

Iguana

We invite you on a fascinating journey to search for the elusive Manatee on this new tour. The adventure begins 10 kilometers from the border with Panama, in the community of San San Pond Sak, where you will find the location of Association of Friday and Neighbors of the Coast and Nature. Thanks to the activities of this organization, we have the opportunity to visit the swamp in a boat trip that lasts 40 minutes until the point where the river meets the ocean, where you will find a platform to see the manatee.

The manatee, an endangered species, has maintained itself in this protected area where the Association, united for the safe cause of conservation, cares for them by providing them with the necessities to live in complete freedom, free of the dangers of their human predators.  During the ride you can appreciate different ecosystems like the mangroves, flooded forests, where an infinite number of species live permanently and migratory.
