Rafiki is a wilderness luxury tent camp and conservation project focusing on adventurous sustainable tourism. The lodge is nestled on 842 acres of pristine jungle along the Savegre River, 30 km south of Quepos and Manuel Antonio in Costa Rica.

The lodge is located on a natural plateau with an spectacular view of the pristine mountains nearby. The Lodge serves as the restaurant, bar and tour center. From here you will start all of your safaris, while being able to enjoy the pool and water slide and experience some amazing birding.

Their luxury Safari tents are set atop hardwood decks, each with rocking chairs, so you can sit back and admire the view in privacy. Imported from South africa, the tent's design lets you experience nature up close while keeping the insects at bay. Each unit features its own modern, complete bathroom. Whether you are on your honeymoon, want to bring a group of friends and family, or business associates, Rafiki provides the perfect atmosphere. While their property is a nature retreat... it is hardly roughing it!

The Lekker Bar and Braai

Treat yourself to a delicious South African Braai (BBQ) cooked on their grill, accompanied by side dishes prepared by our professio-local chef. Enjoy a tasty beverage from the bar while being enchanted by the natural beauty that Rafiki has to offer!

Luxury Safari Tents

The spacious luxury tents, comfortably sleep up to four people. The large windows bring the sounds and the smells of the forest in, while the canvas walls keep the creepies and the elements out. Enjoy the magnificent views from your private porch! Their showers are fire heated to take the chill out of the spring water.

Let the Boshoff family treat you to a South African "braai" (barbeque) or enjoy other fabulous cuisine prepared by our resident chef. Their food, hospitality, and accommodations are unparalleled. Guests can enjoy a wide variety of activities such as whitewater rafting, horseback riding to waterfalls, hiking, and world-class birding. You don't need to be an avid birder or into eco tourism to enjoy their truly unique accommodations and natural beauty.

NOTES: Rates include 3 meals a day Rates do not include local taxes (13%). Children ages 0 to 4 years old are free - Children ages from 5 to 11 years, lodging is complimentary and meals are charged $61 per night (taxes included). Each additional person in a tent (after double tent) are charged $68 for meals (taxes included). Maximum 4 people per tent. For all bookings holiday season there is an additional charge of $20 per tent/night.

The Rafiki Safari
This package includes transportation to and from Quepos, three nights lodging at Rafiki, whitewater rafting. horseback riding and 3 meals a day. The Rafiki Safari gives you a chance to see what Rafiki is all about without having to rush it. There will be plenty of time for relaxation, hiking, or hanging around the pool. RATE: $709 per person*

The Safarito I
The Safarito 1 includes transportation to and from Quepos, 2 nights lodging at Rafiki, White Water Rafting and 3 meals a day. The Safarito 1 is great if you a are pressed for time. While you're here you will not feel rushed, except down the river that is ! RATE: $468 per person*

The Safarito II
This package includes transportation to and from Quepos, 2 nights lodging at Rafiki, Full-day Horseback riding, and 3 meals a day.The second Safarito is a great way to explore the Savegre Valley without having to hoof it on your own. RATE: $503 per person*

The Super Lekker Safari Package
This package includes transportation to and from Quepos, lodging for 2 nights, the Super Lekker Safari, and meals.The Super Lekker is Rafiki's signature trip. This blend of horseback riding and whitewater rafting is unparalleled in the world. *You must be in good physical condition for the Super Lekker * Minimum 4 people. RATE: $489 per person*
