Location & Climate
The San Gildar Hotel is located in the clean, sunny and scenic suburb
of San Jose (capital city) named San Rafael de Escazu, approximately
four miles (10 minutes) west of busy downtown. Originally founded as
an important villa just three years after the independence in
1824, the San Gildar is situated on the old highway to Santa Ana, just
north of the traditional "Costa Rica Country Club." Its facilities
were built in 1994, and include a restored colonial style "mansion." |

|
 |
The San Gildar offers you the best of both worlds: surround yourself
with beautiful sights, handcrafts and colonial architecture in a highly
selective, quiet area, without giving up accessibility to the embassy
and business district, as well as the night life of San Jose and Escazu. Altitude: 1200 meters (4290 feet) above sea level
Average temperature: 72 F (day), 65 F (night) |
