Bike - Boat – Car Tour

The tour consists of a mountain bike ride along beautiful panoramic views, and a boat ride across Lake Arenal. You will be picked up at your hotel at the time indicated to begin your journey at approximately 10:00 am. You will then receive all of your equipment and receive safety instructions from your experience bilingual guide to begin your mountain bike tour.

The tour takes place along beautifully scenic routes, and weather permitting along the way you'll be able to observe the Volcanoes Tenorio, Miravalles, Rincon de la Vieja and of course the Arenal.

The whole journey is 35 km (21 miles) and about the half way mark, you will stop to enjoy a typical Costa Rican lunch with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. After lunch you will continue the remaining 17 km (less than 2 hours) crossing the Intercontinental Divide, where the beautiful views and refreshing wind is characteristic of this zone.

Once you reach Lake Arenal, we'll take some time to rest, change clothing and take the 30-minute boat ride back across Lake Arenal to be taken to your respective hotel.

The level of difficulty, 10 being the highest, is between 6 and 7 so we recommend that participants be in good physical conditioning. If at any time, any participant is unable to continue they can take the ground support transportation that accompanies the group the entire route.

All bicycles are checked before beginning the tour and any damage incurred will be the responsibility of the participant.
