Doka Estate is a working coffee farm located in the coffee capital of Costa Rica, Sabanilla, Alajuela, on the rich and fertile slopes of the Poás Volcano.
The farm belongs to the Costa Rican Vargas Ruiz family, coffee production pioneers for over 70 years. Their unique THE DOKA ESTATE COFFEE TOUR gives you an opportunity to experience the cultivation, harvesting and processing of one of the most important sources of the development of Costa Rica: Coffee “The Golden Bean”. |

The main objective of the Coffee Tour is to educate and inform local and international visitors with regards to the whole production process as well as the processing of coffee. The tour takes place on the Doka Estate, where you can learn about the production, the harvesting, the processing plant and the roasting of the grain. |

Guided by expert guides, you will have the opportunity to observe and understand how the collected beans transform into the world’s best tasting cup of coffee as you are guided through the plantations, roasting factory and inhale the aroma of the coffee being dried on sun covered patios.
Taste 8 different roasts of coffee and live the experience of a country that has the highest rate of coffee produced per citizen, 2,8 million bags of 69 kilos per 3,5 million inhabitants. |

Monday through Friday
Morning: 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
Afternoon: 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Saturdays and Sundays
Morning: 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
Afternoon: 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Rate: $72.00 per person
Minimum 2 persons.
Rate includes; Transportation (minimum 2 persons), entrance to Doka Estate, welcome cocktail, guided coffee tour, Butterfly farm tour, visit the Garden and Bonsai exhibition, Hydroponics Tour and access to all the attractions of the property, tasting coffee, liqueurs and chocolates
