The Swiss owned and operated Golfo Dulce Lodge is surrounded by the undisturbed primary lowland rainforest of the Piedras Blancas National Park, an extension of the Corcovado National Park, and the clear waters of the Golfo Dulce. The remote lodge at Playa San Josecito is only accessible by a minute boat ride from either Golfito or Puerto Jimenez. |
| |
|
The lodge is listed as one of the Top Ten Costa Rican Hotels by the German Travel Guide Book Polyglott / APA Guide.
The Golfo Dulce Lodge consists of more than 300 hectares (750 acres) and was acquired as an effort to protect and preserve the existing virgin rainforest. This is the place for nature and animal lovers to personally experience the magnificent world of an almost untouched environment far away from crowds of tourists. |

The little complex of buildings is informally grouped together as a tiny village in a large landscaped garden right on the edge of the tropical rainforest and is less than 300 yards (250m) away from the rocky beach.
The lodge has 5 detached, spacious wooden Bungalows, comfortably furnished (including fan) each with their own private shower/toilet (warm water until sunset), as well as a large, private veranda with a hammock and a rocking chair.
|
| |
|
Each room comes with a lockable safe for securing guests’ valuables. All bungalows and rooms are named after their individually crafted or painted wildlife motives on the wooden doors.
Besides the 5 Deluxe Bungalows they also have 3 standard rooms at slightly lower rates. |
