"Imagine if Gaudí and Frank Lloyd Wright had combined their talents and visions. The result would be an architectural stunner as eclectic and electrifying as Finca Rosa Blanca. This is one of Costa Rica's -nay, the world's!- preeminent boutique hotels, opened in 1989. Inspired by Gaudí's architectonics and the Santa Fe style, the hotel is conceived as if from a fairy tale. Qué linda!"

Christopher P. Baker, Costa Rica Handbook

Finca Rosa Blanca Country Inn is situated above the beautiful Central Valley of Costa Rica. Surrounded by towering "Higuerón" trees and exotic flora, the Inn offers spectacular views of volcanoes, cloud forests and coffee plantations.

Here at 4000 feet above sea level on a temperate plateau of extraordinary beauty, is grown some of the world's best coffee in the lush volcanic soil. Nestled in 10 acres amid hundreds of fruit trees and dramatic tropical flora is the enchanted Finca Rosa Blanca Country Inn, a jewel crowning a picturesque knoll.

Thousands of native and tropical plants have been cultivated on the 8 acres of the lush volcanic terrain. Many species of rare and colorful birds and butterflies are attracted to these extraordinary gardens. The 300 year old “Higueron” trees and the other numerous and statuesque hardwoods, tower above the lush and colorful painted landscape that offer trails and meditative areas in which the guest can truly feel “at one with nature”.

The extraordinary hillside infinity swimming pool provides luxuriant bathing and is surrounded by tropical gardens, secluded decks and shaded verandas where guests can sunbathe and enjoy the magnificent vistas.

Each sunny morning you will wake to an exquisite breakfast, replete with freshly brewed Costa Rican coffee, succulent mango, papaya, pineapple and bananas from the Inn’s own orchards. The Inn is renowned for its fine cuisine, prepared with care and creativity from the bounty of its fruit orchards and organic vegetable and herb garden. Chef Pedro Alas welcomes the curious gourmand into his kitchen to share the secrets and techniques of nouvelle Costa Rican Cuisine.

The Chef draws on Costa Rican and international culinary arts, using local fresh seafood and organic meats and poultry to create a menu that changes daily. The elegant four-course dinners set around the inviting, intimate fireplace are offered to guests exclusively.

The Inn offers the extraordinary Master suite, three elegant yet whimsical junior suites, two spacious villas, and three uniquely appointed double rooms, each with its own private veranda.
