Come and stay at the Funky Monkey Lodge in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica.

Their guesthouse, bar and restaurant is hidden deep in the rainforest in a tranquil setting of the Nicoya Peninsula. Enjoy a refreshing dip in their swimming pool, or take a 3 minute stroll to some of the most beautiful and unspoiled beaches in Costa Rica.

 

  
Relax in a hammock and enjoy the bohemian artistic vibes of Santa Teresa, a small beach town located next to Mal Pais and Playa Carmen. Watch the surfers gliding across the waves, or rent a board and paddle out into the world class break yourself.
   

Get inspired by a breathtaking sunset accompanied by the sounds of the tropical birds and monkeys playing in the surrounding trees, read a favorite book in their comfortable hanging chairs, or play poker, cards, chase or other games. They even have a pool table for you to practice. 

The hotel has a beautiful and spacious swimming pool up on the hill with an ocean view. In the common area enjoy music, TV with Direct TV, DVDs, and great swinging chairs for relaxing!

The open air restaurant serves breakfast and dinner using the freshest local ingredients, and offering a selection of dishes including sushi, daily catch of the day, BBQ, typical Costa Rican cuisine, and other international selections. The bar is open all day. Delicious food, good music, and a nice, friendly atmosphere is what the Funky Monkey Lodge is all about!

 

  

All their accommodations are located on the top of a natural rock hill, in the middle of a private jungle. Every room features quiet balconies with hammocks and private open air bathrooms. They also include a book exchange and a DVD library, or catch your favorite program on digital cable.  If you need to stay in touch with someone back home, they have have wireless internet, so bring your laptop.
