The Tree House Lodge is located in Punta Uva, within the Gandoca-Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge, on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica.  The Lodge is surrounded by many natural and cultural beauties, making it the perfect place to enjoy, relax and experience this very different and special area of Costa Rica.

The complex is located on a 10 acre ocean front property in the famous Punta Uva beach, just south of the laid back town of Puerto Viejo.  Total privacy, a natural and tranquil atmosphere, and full relaxation are the key elements you will find at the Tree House Lodge.  With your own beach access to a 300 meter beach front, you won't have to see anybody else during your stay at this romantic hideaway.

The Tree House has two rooms for up to 6 guests. The upstairs room has a private bathroom and a twin bed. The downstairs room is provided with a twin bed and a bunk bed.  Both rooms use the same unique shower, which is built in and around the Sangrillo tree. The Tree House is equipped with a private kitchen and an air-conditioned room.

The entire Beach house was built with wood from fallen trees. Before the development of the Beach House, the owners spent several months finding, cleaning and cutting the lumber of fallen trees in the forest. Some of the Nispero trees had been on the ground for more than 10 years.

The new beach suite was finished in October of 2006. The 800 sq feet bathroom is by far the largest bathroom in the country. Calling this one bathroom maybe does not describe the captivating opulence of this space. As you descend into the sunken level, you are surrounded with brilliance, imagination, and creativity.

Casa Auratus is a new house situated on the edge of the jungle in the Gandoca-Manzanillo wildlife refuge. The beautiful beaches of Manzanillo and Punta Uva are nearby.

Casa Auratus has two bedrooms, each with a queen size bed. The upper loft bedroom has its own bathroom and a terrace with an outside shower. From the upstairs bedroom the adjacent jungle appears as a wall of green that is transformed into a beautiful firefly show after dark.

The owners grow over 50 different palm trees and have the largest Heliconia collection in the area. The houses are hidden amongst all of these tropical plants. The extended gardens are the favored place for many exotic birds.  In the morning, you shouldn't be surprised if you look out of your window and see the howler monkeys around your house. They wake up early and they won't hesitate to let you know they are awake.
