Casa Luna Lodge is located at the base of the Arenal Volcano. Surrounded by farm land and evergreen tropical rainforests the rooms are distributed between the Luna Grill and a little creek. The riverbank is stabilized by trees which were planted by a local reforestation group.

The majestic Arenal Volcano dominates your view from your bed, balcony or  terrace. During clear nights you can observe the lava flowing down from its’ craters, a truly impressive display! You also have the chance of watching toucans flying regularly between the trees of the hotel. Separate pools for adults and kids are set in the tropical garden so you can enjoy a refreshing dip after a long day of exploring and then relax at a delicious dinner in their restaurant, Luna Grill!

The 24 rooms are designed in a perfect mix of rustic and modern style to offer you the best comfort. In contrast to the white structured walls, the dark wooden furniture creates a cozy atmosphere.

All rooms are built based on ecological standards to take advantage of natural cooling. Nevertheless, they are equipped with air conditioning to accommodate your temperature requirements.

All rooms come equipped with their own coffee makers and a supply of heavenly Costa Rican organic coffee! All rooms are colorful but discreetly decorated. It is an oasis of relaxation with a great view of the Arenal and the evergreen rainforest.

Luna Grill welcomes you to enjoy delicious international dishes in its’ fresh atmosphere. While you sit at dinner you can not only enjoy the fresh air in the restaurant but also admire the views of the Arenal Volcano.  They are pleased to offer you an international selection starting with home baked "German bread" at breakfast, then continuing with traditional local dishes, a variety of Italian dishes, and the meats for which the Luna Grill is famous.

Transfers from San Jose area hotels or San Jose's Juan Santamaría International Airport to hotels in the Arenal area are $160.00 each way, for a minivan with a capacity of up to 9 passengers. Approximate time from San José to the Arenal area is approx 2 hours and 45 minutes. Transfer from Juan Santamaría International Airport to any hotel in San José $35, including airport assistance, for a minivan with a capacity of up to 9 passengers.
